Semantics play a significant role in shaping the general perception about eating animals. Should language in the case of raising animals for food confront of appease the consumer?

 

This children’s book visualises a linguistic conflict, and reveals the ever-present paradox between the animals we eat, and those we live with. The lifetime of any and every animal should be a story that we all consider. Through the different narrative techniques in this book, a variety of tools have been used to show the relationships between animals as food or as friends. The book is aimed at children, and of course their parents. Questioning a multitude of linguistic misconceptions surrounding how we buy and consume food, this project showcases the challenges that we all face at any age.
